This workshop is co-organized with the Collaborative Research Center 150 on Turbulent, Chemically Reacting Multiphase Flows Near Walls and provides an excellent opportunity for you to present and discuss new challenges and developments in the area of Near-Wall Reactive Flows, as well as to foster international cooperation. The scientific program will include aspects of experiment, theory and numerical simulations. Examples for topics are:
  • Boundary layer flows and flames
  • Flame retardants and fire safety
  • Drop- and spray-wall interactions
  • Film formation and evaporation
  • Deposition formation
  • Exhaust gas after-treatment systems
  • IC engine flow and heat transfer process
  • Effusion cooling in gas turbine combustors
  • Measurement techniques and numerical modelling
Pillars of the scientific programme will include keynote lectures, contributed talks, and poster sessions.
Selected contributions will be invited to submit full-length papers for a special issue of the International Journal of Heat and Fluid Flow.

International Keynote Lecturers:
  • Prof. Pourya Forooghi (Arhus University, Denmark)
  • Dr. David Morrisset (University of Queensland, Australia)
  • Dr. Hendrik Nicolai (McGill University, Canada)
  • Prof. Brian Peterson (University of Edinburgh, UK)
